Sword of the Stars I and II

Post  Life Pilgrim on Wed Nov 09, 2011 5:52 pm

I received a free copy of Sword of the Stars I today.

It looks like a very good open ended space battle and strategy game.

I may even get the second soon if I like the first.

I haven't played the game but have watched several clips of gameplay.

Here is just a small clip of Sword of the Stars II.

Had been keeping an eye on it, shame it launched like it did. Got the complete edition of the first one, never really got around to playing it properly, but it's a solid thing.

I couldn't stand the dated graphics and bad voice acting of the first.

Yeah too bad on the state of the second. It looks promising. Hope they get around to fixing it. Then I may get it.

Ya I had some trouble with the graphics as well. Not nescesarily dated, just looked a little... "off".

It's an interesting concept though, especially the races. They are all so different, rather than the usual 'copy-paste with minor tweaks' like in most other games.
